I don't think any of us could have predicted how drastically our lives both at work and home have changed over the past couple of weeks. For me at least it has felt more like months not weeks since the schools have all closed, recreational and sporting events have been postponed, churches are gathering virtually, restaurants are limited to take out only, zoom meetings and working from home have become a new norm, and we are self-quarantining as a nation.

Twenty-four people representing businesses, schools, and agencies in Richland County on March 12 participated in the 19th Annual Community Awareness.

Richland Newhope will host an Open House and tour of their remote support demonstration site on June 27. The Open House is to show how technology can help people with disabilities live independently.

The 21st Annual Newhope Charities Golf Outing is coming up Fri., July 19 at the Deer Ridge Golf Club in Bellville. It will include a $5,000 Hole-In-One Challenge.

More than 100 people took part in the 2nd Annual Step Into Spring Fun Walk at the Richland Mall on March 29.
